If there isn’t a two state solution for the Israel-Palestine area, perhaps there is a one state solution. However, the Israelis will not live in Palestine and the Palestinians will not live in Israel. How about changing the name of this region to Abraland?
Abraham has the potential to unite, the three great monotheistic religions: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. He’s part of all of them – he’s important in all of them. Abraland would be a democratic country with a Federal Government and individual states with boundaries encompassing the predominate ethnic populations.
All walls would be removed within the Country. Abraland to be a true democracy established by a constitution with the Jerusalem as the capital and its seat of Government. The United State Constitution would be a model for the Nation of Abraland. Residents to be called Abramists.
Each State would have its State Government with a Governor and Legislature, and elected officials who would be members of the national Government . Abraland would be Governed through a Military, Legal, and Legislative branches with a President elected by a popular vote of the Citizens of Abraland. Citizenship to be offered to all seeking to abide by the laws of the Country of Abralam under immigration laws established by the national government. All citizens of Abraland to be treated as one people with equality for all with the right to travel, live, and work in any state of their choosing.
All qualified residents to be obligated to serve in the military to defend Abraland against all aggressors, foreign or domestic. Schools to teach Hebrew, Arabic, and English to all students. An act of terror against any part of Abraland by any Citizen would be an act of Treason.
Ask all members of the United Nations (U.N.) to accept the new nation of Abraland. Abraland to seek peace and diplomatic relations with Syria, Lebanon, Iran, and all other nations of the World.
ABOUT Julian J. Blum I am an American secular Jew who had visited Israel on a Khador mission sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Phoenix, Arizona in 1978. We spoke with the residents of Hemit, a Jewish enclave in the Gaza strip that its Jewish residents were being forced to give up in an effort to secure peace with the Palestinians in the area. I saw the remnants of property destroyed by Palestinians in Israel communities during the Yom Kipper War. I was given a rifle and patrolled a section of Jerusalem with a young Israeli soldier. I became an ardent Zionist and a member of the Phoenix Federation Board of Directors.
Several year later I returned to Israel as the leader of an investment group wishing to invest in Israel. We were interested in purchasing property in Naharia, a lovely city fronting on the Mediteranian Sea immediately South of Lebanon. However, the government would not sanction a building permit because Arab terrorists had recently landed by boat on its shores and kidnapped and killed several Jewish residents. My impression was that Israel and the Palestinians had religious and psychological differences that were almost insolvable. I can no longer envision the two States of Israel and Palestine ever happening.

Last, I have co-authored a book that is a guide to Estate Planning titled Last Wishes 101. It contains 20 PDF forms that are filled out by hand or by computer, and saved. These include Wills, Power of Attorneys, notifications, and legal documents needed for most estate planning. In addition there 27 topics explaining funeral arrangements, Medicare and Medicaid, trusts, organ donation, and much more. The guide also contains some jokes concerning the elderly that help lighten the load for such a serious subject. Please look at my website www.LastWishes101.com for additional information.
