Julian J. Blum was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1928 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1953 after service in the US Navy and attended Arizona State University. He has been an Arizona Real Estate Broker, Mortgage Banker, Syndicator, and Developer since 1954 specializing in projects in or near downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

Julian has also been active in many Civic and Human Service Agencies including: Phoenix Jaycees Board, Vice President, Silver Key-man Award; Jewish Family and Children’s Services, Board President; Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) founding Board member and Vice President; Member Task Force for Homelessness; Lobbyist in Arizona State Legislature for homeless issues; Valley Forward member of the Board and member of the Rio Salado Task Force; Founder and CEO, New Day Educational Center, a transitional shelter for homeless families, now operated as the UMOM New Day Center by the United Methodist Outreach Ministries.

Julian has written articles and short stories for a variety of local periodicals including Valley Forward, The Real Estate Press, Arizona Human Services Magazine, and The Center City Magazine.

Julian retired from Real Estate brokerage in 2016, and is now devoting his time to the promotion of Last Wishes 101, an #EstatePlanning guide he authored with the help of professionals in the field of Elder Law and Financial Planning.
